Watch , as in wrist watch, connoisseurs.
Too old for designer cobber, but growing up ,my old man always said always important to have a smart pair of shoes and nice watch.
First watch was really lucky as it was a present from my Dear Nan, A Tag, the most basic affordable one but I was chuffed. Smashed it to bits in the Army.Treated myself after one tour years ago to a Cartier Tank Solo. Loved that watch more than my wife, sad to say. Had to let the watch go as well years ago. Vowed never to wear a watch until I can afford a Cartier again. Not flash, just loved the watch and style.
An Army mate left me an Omega Seamaster when he passed away , but ended up giving to his oldest son when he turned 18. Feeling it was rightly his.
So any Watch freakies. What is the best watch you have owned? or like me lost?
I am stuck but happy as it does the trick and some how turned into a fad the old school Casio. From Old school days.
Also for connoisseurs, if lottery numbers came in, what is the best watch on the market in your opinion???

Bullet,
You're in a way repeating what I've said. Its a shame thieves are wised up to Nick anything with value but the fact is they are.
Down my street in the last three months 3 new cars all over 40 grand have been nicked, two out of the three houses where the cars have been stolen from have been robbed.
Unfortunately there are cunts on the look out constantly ready to pounce.
I'm not into cars fortunately and the two motors I have are probably worth 11/12 grand.I also have a big lively dog to protect my gaff.
It's unlikely the thieving fuckers won't focus on my house before others with more obvious picking's.

Some are a thing of beauty and I can see why some are highly sort after for personal use or collected. 30+ years ago wronguns were not so clued up on them, but that has all changed and wearing one could put you in danger.

I know two people who have been robbed of their Rolexs, one at knife point, the other was shot in the leg for his troubles. Also remember reading someone getting shanked in the leg for his gold (fake) Rolex.

How anyone can get excited over a watch is beyond me.I wouldn't pay over a oner for a wrist watch and most certainly wouldn't pay more than ten grand for a fucking car.
Mrs jfk has her eye on getting a new motor.I can't for the life of me see the point.

Did think of getting the blue one, but as soon as I saw this it was like watching Anderson's outrageous pass against Palace over and over - I was smitten

Currently have a hankering for a TAG Monaco calibre 11.

A few others keep swimming in and out of the frame too so will definitely hold fire for now.

I usually keep my watches down to 2. 1 For everyday use and 1 for best.

Currently stands at:

Everyday: Michael Kors MK8314 Hunger Stop

Best: Longines Hydro conquest

Both not the most lavish but affordable and perfect.

Hydro conquest doesn't have a battery either so no need to replace. Only downside is if you don't wear it everyday you have to reset the date and time which can get a bit annoying

Wouldn't say its the best on the market but if the numbers come up it would be a Rolex GMT Master II for me

Re: Watch , as in wrist watch, connoisseurs.
Watches are a terrible investment if they've made more than a few hundred of them or if you've ever worn it.

Sold, casio didn't make any calculator watches in the 70s.

I have a very limited edition Breitling which is worth too much money to comfortably wear it anywhere, which is a bit annoying.
